Law entry requirements for A-levels and degree

Law is a fascinating subject to study, both at university and as an A-level. Good grades are a must, as at times, law can be complicated. However, the good news is that most law degrees don't require you to have knowledge or qualifications in certain subjects before beginning the course although some such as critical skills may give you an edge over other applicants.

The entry requirements for an A- level or AS level course in law will be different depending on the individual school or college but as a general guide passes (C+) at GCSE will be enough to get you into most courses.

At degree level you can expect the entry requirements to be anything above BBB in A-level results. Although some universities may take students who fall just below those grades depending on things like good work experience or the intake for that year. Taking a foundation degree may enable you to study for a law degree even if you don't have the necessary grades, but check with your university first.
