Law qualifications

Law is a huge subject, so it is no wonder that there are many achievable qualifications within it.

Via llmstudy

The chain of qualification usually begins after an undergraduate degree in law which results in an LLB or any other undergraduate degree followed by a conversion course (Graduate Diploma in Law).

Following on from that are individual qualifications to become a Solicitor (Legal Practice Course) or Barrister (BPTC or Pupilage). After gaining these qualifications (and undertaking a training contract or a pupilage) you are considered a professional lawyer.

If you wanted to continue to study law, you could select a law related topic to study as part of a masters degree (LLM). A PHD in law is the furthest academic qualification you can gain.
